Terms and Conditions of Use

Introduction

Welcome to Connect and Reflect. Prior to entering the Connect and Reflect site, the end-User (You) must agree to the terms below.

As a subscriber, you have unlimited access to the site for the period of the license agreed upon with your school or district. Please feel free to use all features within the site to the extent you wish. At the same time, please remember that your access to the site is subject to the following terms, conditions and notices as well as all applicable laws. By accessing and using the site, you accept the Terms as outlined without limitation or qualification. If you do not wish to be bound by this agreement, you may not access or use the site.

Access to Subscriber Areas

Access to and use of Subscriber-Only, password-protected areas of the site is restricted to authorized users and subscribers only. To share your login information with someone who is neither authorized or a designated subscriber, violates the Terms of this agreement. As a subscriber to this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your own account information and password and for restricting access to your personal computer. You also agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.

Hardware and Software

Connect and Reflect prescribes minimum hardware and software requirements for completing the course. These minimum requirements include:

Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher (also Netscape 3.0 or higher, Mozilla)
Windows 98, 2000, XP or higher
Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0
Windows Media Player 7.0
A broadband connection to the Internet of greater than 128 Kilo Bits per second (KBPS)
At least 100 MB of free space on your hard drive
At least 128 MB of memory

The course also requires use of a pointing device such as a mouse. It is recommended that the hardware be equipped with speakers. Optimum requirements are listed on the Connect and Reflect public website.

The entire contents of the site constitute a collective work protected under the copyright laws of the United States and other copyright law. We hold the copyright of the collective work. You should assume that everything on the site is protected by copyright and trademark laws, unless otherwise noted. Except as provided in the Terms or with the express written consent of Connect and Reflect LLC, you may not use, reproduce, modify, transmit, distribute, publicly display or perform this site or any portion thereof. You may download material from this site for your personal, non-commercial use only, provided you keep intact all copyright notices. Images of people or places displayed on the site are either the property of, or used with permission by, Connect and Reflect LLC. Use of these images by you, or other third parties, is prohibited unless expressly permitted in the Terms or elsewhere on the site. Any unauthorized use of these images or other materials may violate copyright law, trademark laws, the laws of privacy and publicity, and other applicable regulations.

Use of Cookies/Storage of Information

Connect and Reflect uses a feature of your internet browser called a “cookie” (small file placed on the user’s hard drive) to facilitate site navigation, internet sessions and to maintain security. When you complete the My Account page on the website, we will store the information such as name, address, phone number and email address. We will also recognize you when you enter the site and track your usage of the site, in order to report that information to the user and school administrators connected with the user through the report found on the My Account page. No other use will be made of this information. No information will be shared with 3rd parties or for any use outside of Connect and Reflect.

License to User Content

By posting messages, uploading files, inputting data, or engaging in any other form of communication through this service, you grant Connect and Reflect LLC a royalty-free, non-exclusive, unrestricted license to use, copy, transmit, adapt, publicly perform or display such communication.

Connect and Reflect LLC does not operate or control any information, products or services on these third-party sites in any respect. Governing Law

Texas law shall govern this Agreement and any claims based on the use of this site. Exclusive jurisdiction for all claims based on this Agreement or use of this site shall be in Harris County, Texas.
